NTM-1632 is an equimolar mixture of three human IgG monoclonal antibodies (B1, B2, and B3) specifically designed to neutralize botulinum neurotoxin serotype B (BoNT/B). Each antibody binds a distinct nonoverlapping epitope on BoNT/B. The mechanism of action involves high-affinity binding to the toxin, blockade of cellular binding epitopes on the toxin, and increased hepatic clearance of toxin-antibody immune complexes. Developed as a potential treatment and postexposure prophylaxis for botulism caused by BoNT/B, NTM-1632 has demonstrated favorable safety, pharmacokinetics (with a half-life >20 days at higher doses), and low immunogenicity in phase 1 clinical trials in healthy adults[1][2][4].
