Overview

NTP48 is a preclinical-stage small molecule antagonist of the thromboxane prostanoid (TP) receptor, currently under development by ATXA Therapeutics. The TP receptor is a key mediator in various pathological processes, including vasoconstriction, platelet aggregation, inflammation, fibrosis, and smooth muscle proliferation, particularly within the heart and lungs. NTP48 is part of a pipeline of highly selective TP antagonists designed with distinct pharmaceutical properties to target cardiopulmonary diseases and other therapeutic areas. While ATXA's lead candidate NTP42 is in clinical trials, NTP48 remains in early-stage development, protected by the company's global patent estate.
