NTQ6179 is an orally administered small molecule somatostatin receptor type 2 (SSTR2) agonist being developed by Nanjing Chia Tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical and China Pharmaceutical University. It is designed for the treatment of acromegaly and neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). By selectively activating SSTR2, NTQ6179 aims to inhibit the secretion of growth hormone and other regulatory peptides. The drug is currently in Phase I clinical development in China, with a Phase Ia trial evaluating its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics in healthy volunteers.
