Overview

NTR-1011 is a first-in-class, engineered recombinant human deoxyribonuclease 1-like 3 (DNase1L3) enzyme developed by Neutrolis for the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, primarily systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The drug functions by targeting and clearing Neutrophil Extracellular Traps (NETs), which are extracellular webs of DNA and proteins released by neutrophils that drive persistent inflammation and the production of autoantibodies. NTR-1011 is designed to supplement or replace the activity of endogenous DNase1L3, an enzyme that is frequently deficient or impaired in patients with SLE, thereby facilitating the degradation of pathogenic DNA complexes. It is currently under clinical evaluation in Phase 1 trials to determine its safety, pharmacokinetics, and biological activity across intravenous and subcutaneous delivery routes.
