Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NTT-002 is a preclinical-stage drug candidate developed by NTT Biopharma for the treatment of primary and metastatic colorectal cancer. It consists of the topoisomerase I inhibitor irinotecan encapsulated within mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs). This nanoparticle delivery system is designed to optimize drug loading, enhance targeted delivery to tumor cells, and improve therapeutic efficacy while minimizing the systemic toxicity typically associated with conventional irinotecan chemotherapy. By suppressing both primary tumor growth and metastatic spread, NTT-002 aims to provide a more effective treatment option for aggressive colorectal malignancies.
