Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NTT-004 is an experimental therapeutic candidate developed by NTT Biopharma, currently in preclinical development. It consists of an antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) encapsulated within mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSN). This delivery platform is designed to enhance the stability and cellular uptake of the ASO payload. NTT-004 is being investigated for the treatment of solid tumors and wet age-related macular degeneration (Wet-AMD). For the Wet-AMD indication, the drug is being developed as an eyedrop formulation, which aims to provide a non-invasive alternative to the standard-of-care intravitreal injections. The specific molecular target of the antisense oligonucleotide has not been publicly disclosed by the developer.
