NTX-471 is an early-stage preclinical mRNA therapeutic candidate developed by Nutcracker Therapeutics. It is engineered to specifically target CD47 on cancerous cells using unique mRNA-encoded compositions, including bivalent, tetravalent, hexavalent, and octavalent RNA-encoded SIRPa proteins and bispecific SIRPa-antiCCR4 molecules. The drug aims to block the "do not eat me" signal emitted by CD47 on cancer cells, making them vulnerable to immune system attack by macrophages. Notably, NTX-471 has demonstrated similar anti-tumor activity to existing anti-CD47 therapeutics but with reduced anemia side effects due to its higher specificity for tumor cells over red blood cells[1][5][3].
