Ntx-NTC is a non-targeting control (NTC) agent designed for preclinical research in central nervous system (CNS) disorders, such as epilepsy and glioblastoma. It consists of a non-targeting small interfering RNA (siRNA) sequence conjugated to the 'Ntx' platform, a novel lipid-conjugate delivery system that enables widespread distribution throughout the CNS following intrathecal administration. Ntx-NTC is used as a negative control for Ntx-DBI, a therapeutic candidate that targets Diazepam Binding Inhibitor (DBI) to treat drug-refractory epilepsy and inhibit gliomagenesis. By serving as a comparator, Ntx-NTC allows researchers to isolate the specific therapeutic effects of DBI knockdown from the baseline effects of the delivery vehicle and the administration of exogenous RNA.
