Overview

NTZ-1034 (formerly known as PSB-1434) is a selective monoamine oxidase B (MAO-B) inhibitor small molecule being developed by NTZ Lab. It is currently in the preclinical stage for the treatment of central nervous system disorders, including Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and depression. The drug works by blocking the MAO-B enzyme, which is responsible for the oxidative deamination of monoamine neurotransmitters such as dopamine in the brain. By inhibiting this enzyme, NTZ-1034 aims to increase neurotransmitter levels and provide neuroprotective effects.
