Overview

**Nu-8** (NU8) is a first-in-class bisphosphocin antimicrobial compound developed by Lakewood-Amedex, featuring a novel chemical structure: 2-(5,6-dimethoxypyridin-3-yl)-1,1-bis(oxidanylidene)-4-[[2,4,6-tris(fluoranyl)phenyl]methyl]pyrido[2,3-e][1,2,4]thiadiazin-3-one. It exhibits broad-spectrum antibacterial activity and is being advanced as an aerosolized direct-to-lung formulation for potential treatment of respiratory infections, including preparation for future pandemics.[3][4][10]
