Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**NuCerin** is an investigational oral formulation of HY209, a small-molecule sodium taurodeoxycholate program developed by Shaperon for Alzheimer's disease. HY209 is a GPCR19/TGR5 agonist designed to modulate GPCR19-P2X7 signaling and suppress inflammasome-associated neuroinflammation; preclinical 5xFAD mouse data reported reduced amyloid-beta plaque burden and improved cognitive outcomes. NuCerin completed a Phase 1 study in healthy adults in South Korea and is being jointly developed with Kukjeon, with Hudson Therapeutics supporting global development and partnering activities.
