Num Vapocoolant Spray

Num Vapocoolant Spray is a sterile topical anesthetic spray (vapocoolant/skin refrigerant) designed for rapid, temporary pain relief during minor surgical procedures (such as lancing boils and drainage of small abscesses), injections (venipuncture, IV starts), and the temporary relief of minor sports injuries. It works by rapidly cooling the skin through evaporation of its volatile components—primarily 1,1,1,3,3-pentafluoropropane (95%) and 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (5%)—which impedes nociceptor stimulation and thus reduces the perception of pain. The product is single-use and radiation sterilized to minimize contamination risk. It acts instantly upon application with effects lasting about one minute[2][5][6][8].
