Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Number Ten** is an orally administered multi-herb dietary supplement formulation investigated for obesity and weight loss. It is composed of rhubarb, ginger, astragalus, red sage, and turmeric. In a small randomized pilot study in healthy women with overweight or obesity, it did not produce meaningful weight loss at tolerable doses and caused dose-related loose stools. Chemical analysis identified sennosides, laxative constituents likely contributing to gastrointestinal toxicity, as well as rhein and gallic acid; no validated molecular target or clinically established anti-obesity mechanism has been demonstrated.
