Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Nuretin (also stylized as Nūretin) is a specialized omega-3 dietary supplement developed by PRN Therapeutics (PRN Vision) for the dietary management of patients with diabetic retinopathy and other retinal conditions. It is formulated as a 'medical food' and contains a high-concentration, re-esterified triglyceride (rTG) form of omega-3 fatty acids, providing 1,000 mg of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and 200 mg of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) in a 1:5 ratio. DHA is a critical structural component of the retina, and Nuretin is intended to support retinal health and help reduce the risk of disease progression. The product is manufactured in Norway according to cGMP standards and is typically available through a physician's recommendation.
