Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NuroPro is a program or product line developed by Amarantus BioSciences and Rainbow BioSciences Corporation for Parkinson's disease. It is linked to the Mesencephalic Astrocyte-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (MANF) therapeutic, a protein that protects neurons from endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress-associated complications by restoring ER homeostasis and regulating the unfolded protein response (UPR). MANF also exhibits neuroprotective, neurorestorative, anti-inflammatory, and anti-apoptotic effects, particularly beneficial for dopaminergic neurons. Additionally, NuroPro encompasses a diagnostic blood test for Parkinson's disease.
