Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Nutratopic Pro-AMP is a topical medical-grade emollient and cosmeceutical developed by ISDIN for the management of skin barrier disorders, particularly atopic dermatitis. Its primary active ingredient is L-isoleucine, an essential amino acid that stimulates the production of antimicrobial peptides (AMPs), which are critical components of the skin's innate immune defense. The formulation also contains niacinamide to reduce itching and inflammation, ceramides to restore the lipid barrier, and Rhamnosoft to prevent bacterial adhesion. It has been clinically evaluated as an adjunct therapy in chronic plaque psoriasis to enhance the efficacy of topical corticosteroids and improve skin hydration.
