Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Nutravestin (also known as Nutravestin-500) is an oral nutraceutical tablet developed by Intra Life, containing Univestin (UP446), a patented, standardized botanical blend of *Scutellaria baicalensis* (Chinese skullcap) root extract and *Acacia catechu* (black catechu) heartwood extract. It is formulated to alleviate joint pain, stiffness, and inflammation, and to support range of motion, flexibility, and physical function in individuals experiencing osteoarthritis-related discomfort. Nutravestin works through a multi-channel anti-inflammatory mechanism, primarily by inhibiting both cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) and 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX) enzymatic pathways, thereby reducing the production of pro-inflammatory prostaglandins and leukotrienes without the typical gastrointestinal side effects associated with traditional NSAIDs.
