Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**NutriDox** is a prescription-only oral convenience kit developed by Advanced Vision Research for meibomitis, posterior blepharitis, and meibomian gland disease. The kit combines 75-mg doxycycline monohydrate capsules, TheraTears Nutrition omega-3 and vitamin E softgels, and an iHeat warm-compress device. Doxycycline is a tetracycline small-molecule antibiotic that suppresses bacterial protein synthesis through bacterial 30S ribosomal-subunit binding and also has anti-inflammatory activity; the nutritional and heat-compress components are intended to support meibomian-gland lipid flow and reduce eyelid inflammation.
