Overview

Nutrinamin is a dietary supplement distributed by Hygis in Switzerland, primarily indicated for the support of urinary tract health and the maintenance of normal mucous membranes. The product features a synergistic combination of D-mannose, cranberry extract (standardized for proanthocyanidins), Vitamin C (ascorbic acid), and Biotin. D-mannose acts as a competitive inhibitor of bacterial adhesion by binding to the FimH adhesins of uropathogenic *Escherichia coli*, preventing the bacteria from attaching to the bladder wall and facilitating their clearance through urination. Cranberry proanthocyanidins similarly inhibit bacterial P-fimbriae. Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system and helps acidify the urine, while Biotin supports the integrity and maintenance of healthy vaginal and urinary mucous membranes. It is typically marketed as an oral powder for solution.
