Nuvastatic is a patented polymolecular botanical medicine derived from a proprietary high-potency ethanolic extract of Orthosiphon stamineus leaves (Lanctos 75). It contains multiple bioactive compounds including rosmarinic acid (6-8% w/w), eupatorine, sinensetin, polysaccharides, glycosaponins, phenolics, flavonoids, and phospholipids. The drug exhibits anti-inflammatory and antiangiogenic properties by targeting key pathways such as NFκB and TNF-α and blocking VEGF signaling. It has demonstrated potential efficacy in reducing cancer-related fatigue in solid tumor patients undergoing chemotherapy as well as antitumor activity against triple-negative breast cancer in preclinical models. Nuvastatic also shows promise for diabetic retinopathy due to its antiangiogenic and neuroprotective effects. Pharmacokinetics studies indicate a half-life of approximately 14.6 hours for rosmarinic acid with metabolism involving liver glucuronidation enzymes UGT1A1 and UGT2B7. The drug is administered orally at doses around 1000 mg thrice daily.
