Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NV-07a is a synthetic phenolic small molecule developed by Novogen Ltd. for topical application. It functions as an immune modulator designed to protect the skin from sun-induced immunosuppression and ultraviolet (UV)-induced damage. By targeting immune cells in the skin, NV-07a aims to reverse immediate effects of sunlight, such as erythema (reddening), and mitigate underlying damage that can lead to skin cancer. The compound has been evaluated in Phase I clinical trials involving nickel-sensitive and mantoux-positive patients to assess its immunomodulatory effects and safety profile.
