Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NVA2001-10 is a monoclonal antibody being developed by Novassay for the treatment of neuropathic pain conditions, including diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain (DPNP), radiculopathy, and herpetic neuralgia. The therapeutic candidate targets the voltage-gated calcium channel auxiliary subunit alpha-2/delta-1 (alpha2delta-1), which plays a key role in the trafficking and function of calcium channels involved in pain signaling. By selectively binding to alpha2delta-1, NVA2001-10 aims to inhibit the transmission of nociceptive signals. The program is currently in the discovery phase.
