NVD-X3 is an allogeneic, off-the-shelf bone grafting material developed by Novadip Biosciences for the treatment of common orthopedic conditions, particularly in patients at high risk of nonunion due to comorbidities such as aging, diabetes, obesity, and smoking. It is a new class of regenerative tissue product designed to accelerate bone healing in a single treatment. The product consists of a lyophilized (freeze-dried) matrix containing multiple bioactive factors at physiological concentrations that induce tissue healing and osteogenesis. Unlike traditional autografts or other allogenic materials, NVD-X3 is derived from human osteogenic adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ASCs), but the final product does not contain live ASCs due to processing steps that enable room temperature storage and off-the-shelf use[1][6][7][8]. Preclinical and clinical studies have demonstrated superior safety and efficacy compared to existing treatments such as rhBMP-2, with no observed heterotopic ossification or inflammatory reactions[8]. Clinical trials have shown promising results in achieving complete bone union in complex fractures without adverse events related to the product[6][7].
