Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NVG-300 is a novel biologic molecule discovered by NervGen Pharma in 2022, designed to promote nervous system repair. It is being developed as a potential treatment for neurologic conditions with high unmet need, specifically targeting ischemic stroke, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and spinal cord injury (SCI). Preclinical studies have demonstrated promising efficacy in animal models of SCI and stroke. The drug is formulated for self-administration via prefilled syringe and will be developed under the Biologics License Application regulatory framework, which provides 12 years of market exclusivity post-approval. Intellectual property protection for its composition of matter is expected to extend beyond 2040[1][2][3][6].
