Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NVK031 is an investigational, topical ophthalmic pharmacologic agent being developed by Vyluma to treat night vision disturbance (NVD) by reducing pupil size under low-light conditions.[1][9][11] In a proof-of-concept clinical study in healthy volunteers, NVK031 eye drops reduced pupil diameter by approximately 1–2 mm, which can lessen glare and halos by directing light through the central cornea and lens, thereby improving visual quality at night.[1][9] The exact active ingredient and molecular target have not been publicly disclosed, but the program is positioned within Vyluma’s ophthalmic pipeline alongside assets for myopia, presbyopia, acute ocular pain, and hyperopia.[9][11]
