NVK032 is an investigational, small‑molecule topical ophthalmic eye drop being developed by Vyluma for the treatment of acute corneal pain, including pain after corneal injury or surgery.[5][9][11][13] It is a locally administered formulation of the neuropathic pain agent pregabalin, designed to deliver the drug directly to ocular tissues to provide analgesia while minimizing systemic exposure and avoiding the use of topical NSAIDs, corticosteroids, or local anesthetics.[5][11][15] NVK032 is in preclinical development, with pharmacodynamic dose‑finding studies in animal models of acute corneal pain to define the minimum effective dose and characterize ocular safety and tolerability.[1][11][13]
