Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NVP-1704 is a psychobiotic formulation developed by NVP Healthcare (Navipharm), consisting of a specific combination of two bacterial strains: *Lactobacillus plantarum* NK51 and *Bifidobacterium longum* NK46. It is designed to alleviate symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression by modulating the gut-brain axis. The product has received approval from the South Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) as a functional health ingredient for improving mental health and stress-related fatigue. Clinical studies have demonstrated that NVP-1704 can reduce serum cortisol levels, improve sleep quality, and balance gut microbiota composition, which in turn influences neurotrophic factors and systemic inflammatory pathways associated with the stress response.
