Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**NVP-1805-R2** is an oral fixed-dose combination of **rosuvastatin** and **ezetimibe** developed by NVP Healthcare for lipid lowering in dyslipidemia. Rosuvastatin competitively inhibits 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-coenzyme A reductase, reducing hepatic cholesterol synthesis, while ezetimibe inhibits Niemann-Pick C1-like protein 1-mediated intestinal cholesterol absorption. In a Phase 1 healthy-volunteer pharmacokinetic study registered as NCT03802526, the rosuvastatin/ezetimibe fixed-dose combination was evaluated alone and with telmisartan.
