Overview
**NVP-2002** is an oral fixed-dose antidiabetic combination product developed by NVP Healthcare that contains **linagliptin** and **metformin**. Linagliptin inhibits dipeptidyl peptidase-4, prolonging endogenous incretin activity and supporting glucose-dependent insulin secretion, while metformin primarily lowers hepatic glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity. NVP-2002 was evaluated in a completed Phase 1 pharmacokinetic and safety study in healthy adults against co-administration of its individual component products, NVP-2002-R1 and NVP-2002-R2.
