NVP-2002-R1 + NVP-2002-R2

NVP-2002-R1 + NVP-2002-R2 is a combination therapy developed by NVP Healthcare (Navipharm) for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It consists of the co-administration of two oral anti-diabetic agents: NVP-2002-R1 (dapagliflozin) and NVP-2002-R2 (linagliptin). Dapagliflozin is a sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor that reduces renal glucose reabsorption, leading to increased urinary glucose excretion and lower blood glucose levels. Linagliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor that increases the levels of incretin hormones, such as glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), which stimulate insulin release and decrease glucagon levels in a glucose-dependent manner. This combination is being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials to compare its pharmacokinetic profile and safety against a fixed-dose combination (FDC) tablet, NVP-2002.
