The vaccine is designed to target the **JN.1 lineage of SARS-CoV-2** and is used for active immunization to prevent COVID-19. It has been commercialized under the brand name **Nuvaxovid**, with Novavax as the developer and Sanofi collaborating on commercialization in the United States.
