Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NW001 is an investigational, first-in-class epigenetic immune-modulating antibody conjugate (EIMAC) co-developed by Shenzhen Chipscreen Biosciences and Chengdu Chipscreen Newway Biosciences. It consists of a humanized anti-PD-L1 monoclonal antibody conjugated to a novel histone deacetylase inhibitor (HDACi) payload. Upon binding to cell-surface PD-L1, NW001 is internalized and undergoes intracellular cleavage, releasing the HDACi payload to exert synergistic antitumor activity through combined epigenetic and immune modulation. This targeted delivery is designed to widen the therapeutic window of epigenetic immunotherapy while minimizing systemic exposure. In October 2026, NW001 received IND approval from China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) for a Phase 1 clinical trial evaluating its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary efficacy in patients with advanced solid tumors, particularly those refractory or resistant to PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors.
