Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NX-05 is a recombinant Von Willebrand Factor (rVWF) protein candidate being developed by Beijing Neoletix Biological Technology. It is designed as a replacement therapy for patients with Von Willebrand Disease (VWD) and for the management of acute bleeding episodes in hemophilia. Von Willebrand Factor is a large multimeric glycoprotein essential for primary hemostasis; it mediates platelet adhesion to damaged vascular subendothelium and acts as a protective carrier for coagulation Factor VIII (FVIII), preventing its premature degradation in the circulation. As a recombinant replacement therapy, NX-05 aims to restore these critical functions in patients with quantitative or qualitative VWF deficiencies, thereby facilitating normal clot formation and stabilizing FVIII levels.
