Overview

NX-105 is an investigational small molecule drug candidate being developed by NexGenix Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of neuromas. It belongs to a proprietary series of p21-activated kinase (PAK) inhibitors designed to address tumors of the peripheral nervous system, particularly those involving Schwann cell overproliferation. NexGenix's platform focuses on the role of PAK signaling in Neurofibromatosis and related conditions, where PAK serves as a critical downstream effector for proteins like Merlin (NF2) and Ras (NF1). By inhibiting PAK, NX-105 aims to disrupt the signaling pathways that drive the growth and survival of neuroma cells. As of current reports, the compound is in the early stages of development within the NexGenix pipeline.
