NX101

NX101 is an investigational intralesional therapy developed by NexGenix for the treatment of dermal neurofibromas, which are the most common lesions associated with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1). The drug represents a therapeutic switch of the existing tetracycline antibiotic doxycycline, utilizing a vascular disruption mechanism to target the blood supply of the tumors. By inducing localized vascular collapse, NX101 aims to provide a non-surgical alternative for reducing the size and appearance of these benign nerve sheath tumors. NexGenix has conducted proof-of-concept pilot clinical trials for this approach and is exploring corporate partnerships for further development in dermatology and other potential skin conditions.
