Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NX9 Oral Contrast Agent is a novel dark borosilicate oral contrast agent developed by Nextrast, Inc. for use in CT imaging of the abdomen and pelvis. It is an inorganic mineral compound designed to improve bowel delineation—specifically marking and distention—enabling radiologists to better visualize bowel structures and detect diseases such as gastrointestinal carcinoma and inflammatory bowel disease. It is currently being evaluated in a Phase 2 clinical trial (NCT04789200) to assess its safety, pharmacokinetics, and efficacy in patients with gastrointestinal disorders.
