Overview

NXI-201 is a fully human monoclonal antibody developed by NEX-I that targets ONCOKINE-2, a proprietary cancer-secreted factor identified through the company's ONCOKINE platform. ONCOKINE-2 is implicated in the establishment of an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME), which facilitates tumor evasion from the immune system and contributes to resistance against standard immunotherapies such as PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors. By neutralizing ONCOKINE-2, NXI-201 aims to reprogram the TME to a pro-inflammatory state, thereby restoring the anti-tumor activity of T cells and other immune effectors. The drug is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for the treatment of advanced solid tumors, including colorectal cancer (CRC) and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
