NXL-1237

NXL-1237 is an investigational protein injectable developed by Nymox Pharmaceutical Corporation for the treatment of early-stage localized prostate cancer. It is a proprietary protein formulation designed to induce programmed cell death (apoptosis) to selectively remove prostate cells. Administered as a single intraprostatic injection directly into the prostate under transrectal ultrasound guidance, the drug aims to target cancerous tissue without the systemic side effects often associated with prostate cancer treatments, such as testosterone suppression or sexual dysfunction. NXL-1237 is currently in Phase 2 clinical development, representing a separate candidate in Nymox's pipeline alongside their lead candidate fexapotide triflutate (NX-1207).
