The **NY-ESO-1 157-165V peptide vaccine** is a synthetic peptide-based cancer vaccine designed to induce immune responses against tumors expressing the NY-ESO-1 "cancer-testis" antigen. The peptide corresponds to amino acid residues 157–165 of NY-ESO-1 with a specific valine (V) substitution to improve its immunogenicity. It is formulated with immune adjuvants such as CpG oligodeoxynucleotide (CpG 7909/PF3512676) and Montanide ISA 720 to enhance both CD4+ and CD8+ T cell responses. The vaccine stimulates cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) and helper T cells to target and destroy NY-ESO-1-expressing cancer cells. It has been tested in patients with advanced melanoma and other solid tumors, including ovarian cancer, but has not been approved for commercial use. Studies show it is immunogenic and well-tolerated in early clinical trials[4][2][1][3].
