NY-ESO-1 TCR-T-01 is an autologous T-cell receptor (TCR) engineered T-cell therapy developed by Nanjing Drum-Tower Hospital. It is designed to target the New York esophageal squamous cell carcinoma 1 (NY-ESO-1) antigen, a well-characterized cancer-testis antigen frequently expressed in various solid tumors but restricted in normal tissues. The therapy involves isolating a patient's T cells and genetically modifying them to express a specific TCR that recognizes NY-ESO-1 peptides presented by HLA-A*02:01 molecules. Once re-infused into the patient, these engineered T cells specifically identify and eliminate NY-ESO-1-positive tumor cells. It is primarily being investigated for the treatment of advanced refractory solid tumors in HLA-A*02:01-positive patients.
