Overview

NY-ESO-1f is a cancer vaccine candidate composed of a 20-mer synthetic long peptide representing the 91-110 amino acid sequence of the NY-ESO-1 (Cancer/testis antigen 1B) protein. This specific fragment was selected because it contains multiple overlapping epitopes capable of being recognized by antibodies, CD4+ T cells, and CD8+ T cells across a broad range of HLA genotypes. Developed through collaborations involving the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research and Japanese academic institutions, NY-ESO-1f is typically formulated with adjuvants like Picibanil (OK-432) and Montanide ISA-51 to maximize immunogenicity. It has been investigated in Phase 1 clinical trials for the treatment of various NY-ESO-1-expressing solid tumors, including lung and esophageal cancers, where it has demonstrated the ability to elicit integrated immune responses.
