Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NY-FR-007 is a folate receptor alpha (FRα)-targeted fluorescent contrast agent developed by Nanjing Nuoyuan Medical Devices for intraoperative tumor imaging. It is primarily investigated for use during cytoreductive surgery in patients with ovarian cancer, fallopian tube cancer, and primary peritoneal cancer. The agent consists of a folate moiety conjugated to an indocyanine green (ICG) derivative, allowing it to specifically bind to FRα-overexpressing tumor cells. Upon excitation with near-infrared light, the agent fluoresces, enabling surgeons to identify and resect malignant lesions that might otherwise be difficult to detect, thereby facilitating more complete surgical debulking.
