NYH817G is a small molecule metabolic inhibitor developed by Haim Bio Co., Ltd. for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. The drug specifically targets the aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH) pathway, which is often upregulated in cancer stem cells and contributes to metabolic flexibility and drug resistance. By inhibiting ALDH, NYH817G disrupts cancer cell energy production and induces apoptosis. It is currently being evaluated in Phase I clinical trials both as a monotherapy and in combination with NYH100P (a glucose metabolism inhibitor), a combination strategy designated as NYH817100. This dual-targeting approach is intended to comprehensively block vital components of the cancer cell energy production pathway, positioning it as a potential fourth-generation anticancer agent.
