Overview

NZV930 is a fully human monoclonal antibody that targets the ectoenzyme CD73 (also known as 5'-nucleotidase or NT5E). By binding to CD73 on the surface of tumor and immune cells, NZV930 inhibits its enzymatic activity and prevents the conversion of AMP to adenosine in the tumor microenvironment. This reduction in adenosine levels relieves immunosuppression and enhances anti-tumor immune responses by promoting T cell activation and proliferation. The drug has been investigated primarily for advanced solid tumors as an immunotherapy with potential antineoplastic effects. It was originally developed by Surface Oncology and further developed by Novartis.
