Overview

O-1821 (Cannabidiorcol) is a phytocannabinoid analog structurally similar to cannabidiol (CBD), naturally found in Cannabis plants. It is a cannabidiol variant with a shortened side chain (pentyl replaced by methyl). The compound is structurally related to O-1918, a selective antagonist of abnormal cannabidiol that operates through CB1/CB2/nitric oxide-independent mechanisms. O-1821 is primarily used as an analytical reference standard in cannabis research. The compound's mechanism involves endothelium-dependent vasodilation and modulation of phosphorylation pathways including p42/44 mitogen-activated protein kinase and protein kinase B/Akt.
