Overview

O-Glutarylpsilocin (developmental code name RE109) is a serotonergic psychedelic of the tryptamine family. It acts as a prodrug of psilocin (4-HO-DMT), similar to other psilocin prodrugs like 4-AcO-DMT and psilocybin. After administration, it is cleaved by non-specific esterases to release active psilocin in the body. The compound was first described in scientific literature in 2024 and has been patented by Reunion Neuroscience for potential use as an antidepressant or for other neuropsychiatric indications[2][8].
