Overview

O3R-5671-PRO is an investigational, orally bioavailable targeted protein degrader (PROTAC) developed by ONCO3R Therapeutics. It is designed to selectively target and induce the degradation of Tyrosine Kinase 2 (TYK2), a member of the Janus kinase (JAK) family that is essential for the signaling of pro-inflammatory cytokines, including interleukin-23 (IL-23), interleukin-12 (IL-12), and Type I interferons. By utilizing the cell's ubiquitin-proteasome system to eliminate the TYK2 protein entirely, O3R-5671-PRO aims to provide a more comprehensive and durable therapeutic effect compared to traditional small-molecule inhibitors that only block kinase activity. The drug is primarily being developed for the treatment of chronic inflammatory and autoimmune conditions, with a focus on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and psoriasis.
