OA-400 is a PAR2-targeting pepducin developed by Oasis Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of acute stroke. As a pepducin, it is a cell-penetrating lipopeptide designed to modulate G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) signaling by interacting with the intracellular loops of the receptor. OA-400 specifically targets Protease-activated receptor 2 (PAR2), which plays a significant role in the inflammatory response and tissue damage following ischemic events. By modulating PAR2 signaling, OA-400 is intended to provide neuroprotection and improve outcomes in patients experiencing acute stroke. It is currently in clinical development.
