Drug intelligence / Profile preview
OAL-DerMap is a transdermal microneedle patch formulation of apremilast, a phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) inhibitor, developed by ArrayPatch for the treatment of psoriasis. The product utilizes the proprietary DerMap™ platform, which is a polymer-free microneedle technology designed to deliver drugs directly into the intradermal space. By delivering apremilast locally to psoriatic lesions, OAL-DerMap aims to achieve high therapeutic concentrations at the site of disease while minimizing the systemic gastrointestinal side effects typically associated with oral apremilast (Otezla). The platform is designed to be painless and self-administrable, potentially improving patient compliance and outcomes in chronic skin conditions.
