Drug intelligence / Profile preview
OBI-888 is a humanized monoclonal IgG1 antibody that targets the tumor-associated carbohydrate antigen Globo H, a glycolipid antigen found on multiple tumor types. By binding to Globo H, OBI-888 induces tumor cell destruction through mechanisms such as antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), antibody-dependent cellular phagocytosis (ADCP), and complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC). The drug is being developed primarily for the treatment of advanced cancers, including pancreatic cancer and other solid tumors. It has received orphan drug designation from the FDA for pancreatic cancer. The developer of OBI-888 is OBI Pharma[1][2][4][5][6].
